Kamari Beach

Kamari beach stretches from Mesa Vouno mountain in the south to Santorini airport and is over 2.5 kilometers long. The beach consists of fine black gravel in the south, which can get very hot in the summer. Towards the north, the beach is rather stony or interspersed with stones.

There is hardly any shade at Kamari beach, but there are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas available. Except in the extreme south and only sporadically in the north. All day long a crowd of beach vendors offer their goods and services on the beach, from watches to sunglasses to massages you are constantly offered something.

In the area of the village Kamari the beach is very crowded in the season, who likes it quieter is perhaps in the northern parts of the beach well kept. However, here the aircraft noise is somewhat higher.

During the day, small boats with which you can drive around the southern mountain to Perissa.

How to reach Kamari

Kamari is located 9 kilometers southeast of Fira. You take the road from Fira towards the airport and turn about 1.5 kilometers before the airport towards Kamari.

Directly at Kamari beach you can park in a parking lot in the back, southern part of the beach.
